Rolling weekn...

full weekn...inter dept sukan last saturday was fun...tak pela we tak menang banyak but the least semua had fun...oh...sempat buat besday cake for my two sons...got the resepi from masammanis

RAMD band masa sukan...played few nice songs...


resipi bluberry roulade by chef alex goh from masammanis. gosh, think its the tallest cake i ever baked and made.senang je...


this is how dalam dia...tu la dia leceh sikit..banyak step..modify sikit..merah flavour strawberry, purple blueberry n hijau vanilla...then touch up with butter cream keliling...marvelous....only that  o bit susah to potong coz tinggi sangat...here's how :




the basic sponge - cut into two...one for atas n one for bawa

 
basic II - swiss roll , cut into four, then roll...expect the messiness. use whip cream and jam as the glue

susun n cream all over, i use whip cream

rolling process...kena careful...boleh pecah...dah roll masuk fridge...then sapu keliling with cream..oh before that susun dulu...the roll tu put in between sponge cake...habis sapu cream..masuk fridge again before final touch up with butter cream...mmm...



must improve on the weaving technique...not bad for a first timer..

for this cake buat tiga adun...one for sponge base and two swiss rolls for the rolls, if tiga pun ok..so ur cake tebal sikit. flavor n colour up to u

ok resipi ( for better xplaination go to masamanis- resepi chef alex)

Basic sponge
 A :4 egg whites
100 gm gula castor - beat till stiff
B: 4 egg yolks
20 g castor sugar
1 tsp vanilla - all beat till kembang
C-100 gm SR flour (tambah 1/2 tsp bp) - ayak
70 melted margerin or you can use minyak ( i used corn oil)
Flavour - optional, i used bluberry paste n strawberry paste

cara -cara  - once A stiff mix dengan B, sikit2 mix sampai habis then campur tepung  and last margerin. then mix flavour and color (optional). mix well then bake.
untuk base masuk dalam acuan bulat, utk roll masuk dalam loyang swiss roll. letak paper and grease.
 easy isn't it? modal pun tak banyak. worth to bake rather than buy!

one more thing to share, during my balik kampung trip recently the pokok jambu bol belakang rumah my inlaws berbuah......bet many of us tak tahu jambu bol esp the  younger ones...susah nak dapat...this one manis...tapi ada yang masam

laksa ikan sekoq special got udang RM 5 per plate

ohh..for those nak makan laksa...pi pekena laksa kat mergong near tesco..laksa ikan sekoq...memang sedap...free one refill minus the fish if you 'dine in'....
