an invite...

been invited to one of the subs kick off in Bandung next week ...first time ever rep from our dept got this invitation...an honour  indeed...but kena present paper ...no problem...then followed by another invitation to a roll up by marketing dept @pangkor pulak...wah...good n happening new year kick off for me...walla....
at least after this buat kerja pun ada la semangat sikit...ha ha...

gonna be one challenging year, as always...bajet cutted to half...aiyoo ...how to buat happening event maa??? kena cari sponsors and partners la ...then again...a bit  susah...compete with others and all going for same sponsors/companies...so how???

nevertheless..like they said ...we work better under pressure!!!...

so anyone out there interested to be our partner? macam-macam can offer.....

Been a while...rather bz of late....work..work..work....aaarhg!!!.....long time no bake...eh..ada hari tu..the so much talked about dulian crepe....sedap la jugak...especially dulian lovers...easy to make also maa...best to eat masa sejuk...
anyway..it's new year aredi...nothing new and nothing much to expect....same ol thing i guess...work load je tambah..mmmmm.......kalau gaji tambah kan best...ha ha ..fat chance!camana pun must say thankyou to the company, despite not doing so well, bg jugak bonus one month..Alhamdullillah....

Was Jack's besday smalam...baked him a rainbow cake...kesian orang bujang teringin nak rasa...kat kedai tak de jual kot...tu lah Jack ..cepat-cepatla jabat tangan tok kadi...tunggu apa lagi? ...u'll miss the boat nanti...semua dah ada...pengantin je still pending..ha ha...

back to rainbow cake...just a plain basic sponge layers..colourful..shud have added flavours to each layer...wud taste nicer..shall try next time...ohh...i used the mona lisa whipped cream instead of rich...has better body and volume but as for taste rich sedap lagi..sweeter...

Esok nak pi alor setar for takraw...if sempat can balik kampung sat...

Ramadhan is also just round the corner...been looking around for new cookies recipes, balang dah beli....raya mood maa...

btw, baked some red velvet cupcake n mini pavlova last weekn...used cocktail instead of fresh fruits...sedap but manis...banyak juga dapat pavlova, ...guna 4 egg whites je...a good dessert lepas makan sambal belacan....

its ain's besday today, a dearest cousin...baked her a red velvet last saturday...hey..not bad...hope it tastes gud...recipe from joyofbaking

feels happy for all the taxi drivers..finally PM given them the green light to get own permit...high time...shud have thot about this long time ago...heard from some that, the daily sewa imposed if kumpul sebulan  sama harga bayar instalment a beemer ...thats a lot of money...more saving and comfy life for taxi drivers....

OH...takraw kat jb last week pun drew quite a big crowd...happening jugak...both final team bawak tukang sorak....cheers!

Rolling weekn...

full weekn...inter dept sukan last saturday was fun...tak pela we tak menang banyak but the least semua had fun...oh...sempat buat besday cake for my two sons...got the resepi from masammanis

RAMD band masa sukan...played few nice songs...

resipi bluberry roulade by chef alex goh from masammanis. gosh, think its the tallest cake i ever baked and made.senang je...

this is how dalam dia...tu la dia leceh sikit..banyak step..modify sikit..merah flavour strawberry, purple blueberry n hijau vanilla...then touch up with butter cream keliling...marvelous....only that  o bit susah to potong coz tinggi sangat...here's how :

the basic sponge - cut into two...one for atas n one for bawa

 

basic II - swiss roll , cut into four, then roll...expect the messiness. use whip cream and jam as the glue

susun n cream all over, i use whip cream

rolling process...kena careful...boleh pecah...dah roll masuk fridge...then sapu keliling with cream..oh before that susun dulu...the roll tu put in between sponge cake...habis sapu cream..masuk fridge again before final touch up with butter cream...mmm...

must improve on the weaving technique...not bad for a first timer..

for this cake buat tiga adun...one for sponge base and two swiss rolls for the rolls, if tiga pun ok..so ur cake tebal sikit. flavor n colour up to u

ok resipi ( for better xplaination go to masamanis- resepi chef alex)

Basic sponge

 A :4 egg whites

100 gm gula castor - beat till stiff

B: 4 egg yolks

20 g castor sugar

1 tsp vanilla - all beat till kembang

C-100 gm SR flour (tambah 1/2 tsp bp) - ayak

70 melted margerin or you can use minyak ( i used corn oil)

Flavour - optional, i used bluberry paste n strawberry paste

cara -cara  - once A stiff mix dengan B, sikit2 mix sampai habis then campur tepung  and last margerin. then mix flavour and color (optional). mix well then bake.

untuk base masuk dalam acuan bulat, utk roll masuk dalam loyang swiss roll. letak paper and grease.

 easy isn't it? modal pun tak banyak. worth to bake rather than buy!

one more thing to share, during my balik kampung trip recently the pokok jambu bol belakang rumah my inlaws berbuah......bet many of us tak tahu jambu bol esp the  younger ones...susah nak dapat...this one manis...tapi ada yang masam

laksa ikan sekoq special got udang RM 5 per plate

ohh..for those nak makan laksa...pi pekena laksa kat mergong near tesco..laksa ikan sekoq...memang sedap...free one refill minus the fish if you 'dine in'....

Full day

Had a full day today...pagi AGM kat tabung haji, petang launch takraw pulak kat one utamani...wat a rush...Alhamdullillah all went well....lupa nak ambik gambar one nation emcee ...good show...jac victor pun ada..but crowd sendu...not that many as expected...oh well....tea kat GARDEN pun very slow,poor service...food not soo good...lucky thing KFC sponsor ayam...  .
esok cuti, gotta send my H tukar wind screen...lucky thing also still under warranty...must have some gud sleeep tonite...another long day esok.....celah2 kena call ofis jugak...many staff not around..spot check ha ha...sabtu nak pegi penutup sukan pulak....aduhai...nxt weekn takraw jb la pula.....gosh....there goes my weeekn...not to mention my life!!!

been a while since last update...haiyaaa...hectic...just came back frm k kangsar, 7 days of festival hari guru...happening..tak sangka  got many people there...non stop crowd...alahh shud have snapped few pics n share la....lupa...especially malam konsert...got la few artises top perform malam tu...salim..who despite his endless ordeal...sang very well...still got that voice, of course ifa raziah n wahid senario pon menggamatkan suasan as emcee...one nation emcee kept  the crowd shaking...and last but not least...mas idayu..gosh...her badan is just tebal sikit from plywood n so lentuk...not that we envy her but wonder how sha managed to maintain that figure...can't imagine me like that...sure go back flying..ha ha...dream on!!!

pasni..start dah takraw..road show...aiyooo...so penat aredi...JB b the opening...hope dapat gud participation macam tahun lepas....oohh..hari tu pegi kuching launch kosmo...happening...hope can get the market there...sempat beli kek lapis n go the satok bakeri ibu...roti so lembut...paling best ...bawak balik udang besar n ketam...order kat hj manja..terus hantar airport...real cheap n fresh! still keep his number kot lepas ni pergi lagi...

very easy but kena tau cara to ensure buah tak mendap 

 rainbow cake made for my little boy's birthday jan lepas...kinda fun baking this cake and cantik pulak...resepi boleh dapat kat masammanis or martha stewart

ni pulak...puding pelangi...nice to eat kalau hari panas.

next week cuti sekolah...busyla highway...taking a week  break to balik kampung...sure meriah..away from ofis...cud really use some gud break....means also election wont be that soon la kot...senyap je so far...kejap jun, kejap sept, kejap lepas raya...oh well..wat ever la..am sure PM has done all necessary preps..this year i will go undi...coz last time i didnt go..coz malas dengan ...masa tu...now that dah tukar..am so semangat to undi...

just hope we able to maintain watever we enoying right now...cant imagine if this country is ruled by some ??@#!@#!!...
